Route 7 Corridor Improvements - Fairfax Virginia

VDOT is improving almost seven miles of Route 7 between Reston Avenue and Jarrett Valley Drive in Fairfax County. The project will widen the road from four to six lanes, add shared-use paths, and make substantial intersection and other improvements along the corridor. These improvements will increase capacity, improve safety and traffic flow, and enhance mobility for cyclists and pedestrians, all in conformity with Fairfax County’s Comprehensive Plan.

Our responsibilities included managing the acquisition of required right of way and easements from 120 impacted parcels on this project. Our right of way acquisition team included two appraisers, seven negotiators and three technicians.
